As our friends over at Seattle Grace would say - Seriously? ... Seriously!

Just as the sun was setting this afternoon I walked over the river and through the park to the future site of this year's Ice City. It is really quite an intriguing collection of cold men and colder water.

I'm all set. Do you mind unplugging me?

Today's field trip involved going out to lunch, going to the baby food store, and stopping by Aitugan's Maternity Hospital here in Astana.

Good habits start early.

I'm woefully behind with the written part of this blog. Hopefully I will find the time soon to catch you up on all the amazing progress sour little one is making, but as it is already close to 1am, I had better catch some sleep while I can. Take Care.

I've posted a comment here and there, but you have no idea who I am ;-) I am also in the process of adopting from Kaz (with LMI) but have been reading your blog and just love your photographs! You should consider compiling them in a coffee table book - they are amazing. And I love reading your stories about Aitugan. She is precious.

Anyway, wanted to post but wanted you to know who I was - no anonymous blogstalking here ;-)

Good luck on the trip back!

Those are SERIOUSLY some major major cool pictures. Wow!!! You are really really amazing.
I can just here Meredith saying, SERIOUSLY , (saw you are a grey's anatomy fan-seriously.)

You make me want to get the kind of camera you have, but i'm not sure i could take the kind of pictures you do.
Truly awe-inspiring!

Greetings from Maine
Life with baby does make it difficult to keep up with some things. I am sure that now Aitugan is in your life 24/7 that it is hard to pull yourself away. And then there is the fact that she is engaging and entertaining and that you are showing her the world. Sofia is trying to type something with me, maybe 'hello ' in baby babble.

How cool! Love the ice sculpting.

My best friend from kindergarden (yes we are still in touch) is an artist and one year her mom gave her $ for a b-day present (perfume bottle, in Feb) and she used that money for a chain saw to make ice sculptures!

Take care!

Once again - amazing photos. I hope you get to meet up with Jen, Marshall & Aila in Almaty. Jen is feeling like the earliest they will be able to leave is 12/29 so they are a bit depressed and very homesick now as Xmas approaches. I hope you get an apartment right off the bat in Almaty - they had two moves before they finally landed their's -- the hotels there are apparently freezing cold so if you can, try to vet that before you move in. The 3 moves has been difficult for them and particularly for Aila.

Love the ice sculpture pictures. Up here, we've got the St. Paul Winter Carnival where there are snow sculpture contests, winter parades and other assorted outdoor activities. (Minnesotans are a hearty bunch.)

Oh my goodness, those ice sculptures are incredible and you just get such wonderful pictures. You are so professional with every shot you take. I could just spend hours gazing at your photos.
