So this is an area of the river walk in front of our building. When we were here in July, there was a great deal of activity both on and along the river, though as it is colder now, people are obviously spending less time outside. It is a great place to walk along for although this shot is taken from down below it, there is a wide paved walkway with benches and white pagodas following the river for quite a distance.

As you will begin to see, Astana has a great deal of public space and numerous parks, and is really quite a nice place to stroll around.
